We don’t know if Russia, N. Korea or Muslim terrorists will attack us tomorrow, but Daniel’s view of world dominion, first by Babylon, then Medo-Persia, Grecia (named in Daniel) and Rome was 100% true.
Those kingdoms represented by the head of gold, chest and arms of silver, thighs of brass and legs of iron in Daniel 2 are given more detail in the 7th chapter where beasts of prey represent governments of the world with imagery that also fits our time!
Based on Daniel, this author published “Britain Will Leave European Union; Lion with Eagle Wings in Daniel 7 Supports US Alliance” months before the Brexit vote surprised many.
The bear is used as a political image to represent Russia, but Daniel 7 also used a bear and Russia is a key player now. The leopard with four heads could represent an Asian alliance with China being dominant.
Then there was a dragon with a little horn growing out of the 4th beast, Rome. This imagery of the papacy growing out of the Roman Empire 1000 years before it happened could convince skeptics. The Protestant Reformation involved millions of martyrs as the little horn “made war with the saints and prevailed against them.” Daniel 7:25.
The horn spoke “great words against the Most High” with his title, “Lord God the Pope” (Google) and the papacy changed times (Sabbath to Sunday) and laws (omitting the 2nd Commandment against images in their catechism because their churches are full of images and shrines to donate to dead saints.
An end-time application of Daniel is supported by Christ in Matthew 24 and also by “shall arise” in Daniel 7:17 when Babylon was declining under its last king. Daniel will “stand in his lot at the end.” Dan 12:13.
The main players for end-times are in place for when, “in the days of these kings, shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom.” Daniel 2:44 forecasts a stone kingdom that will break the dominion of the US, Russia, Asia, EU/UN and pope by economic woes. Bad laws create rebellion and revolution in contrast to the wise laws that are designed for self-government.
God “executed judgment” on Egypt and took believers to a covenant by which they became His kingdom, Exodus 19:5,6. Paul included that history in “all those things happened to them for examples…ends of the world.” 1Corinthians 10:1,11.
The US has many parallels to Egypt as greatest nation then and now. They killed babies v 60 Mil abortions, they enslaved Israel, the US has enslaved its millions with alcohol, tobacco, drugs, medical care falsely called healthcare, schools falsely called education, churches of false religion, prisons of a false correctional system and congress sold out to drug companies that donation billions to their re-election. Babylon is fallen.
On the 4th of July we celebrate our freedoms that are a way of death and a loss of all beyond. God has something better for us and it’s not a New World Order with the pope in charge. “Broad is the way that leads to destruction,” said Christ in his famous Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 7.
Millions believe in a rapture from the fictional “Left Behind” series. Most Bible students could see it as false from Paul’s timing it “at the last trumpet” (1Corinthians 15:52), understanding that there are seven trumpets preceded by an earthquake in Revelation 8:5,6.
The earthquake is Christ’s ‘knock’ in Revelation 3:20 because that lukewarm church ended in an earthquake circa 63 AD, but those 7 churches also spanned 2000 years with western Christianity similarly lukewarm and focused on materialism while Christ (Truth) is outside knocking.
Billy Graham said, “If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom…” Judgment is impending since 2015 when numerous “when-then” signs occurred like the solar eclipse and blood moon on the biblical new year and Passover (Joel 2:31), the Iran Treaty (‘Peace and safety’ talk, 1Thess 5:2,3) and the pope’s visit to Congress and the UN, Mark 13:14; Revelation 17:5.
The key to readiness for end-times is knowing that Christ will ‘knock’ (earthquake) and we must “open to Him immediately” in a feast of betrothal by which we covenant to become His Bride as Israel did at Sinai. After that God said, “I am married to you,” Jeremiah 3:14. God got an ignorant bride; it must not be so now.
This time there’s a provision of unleavened bread (teachings, Matthew 16:12) for us to know what Christ expects as suggested by the invitation to the wedding feast in Matthew 22; the wedding parables all have Passover imagery that includes 7 days of unleavened bread. Leviticus 23:6.
Jacob was faithful in his betrothal to Rachel for seven years as we must be to Christ. If so, “He will make [us] ruler over all that He has” for serving Him when times are tough and this world falls apart as the image in Daniel 2. If we aren’t ready “immediately” (Luke 12:36) for a covenant, we will fail to be part of the marriage and will be “beaten with stripes” for failing to have God’s protection in a covenant, Exodus 34:10.
There are 7 topics that fit the 7 days of unleavened bread as a basis of the covenant we must make. Bible weddings took a week, Genesis 29:27, and these times coincide as we consider 7 topics that need to be restored, as suggested by Christ in Matthew 17:11. Just as there are 7 churches, 7 trumpets, 7 thunders, these topics have a contextual link to the 7 seals in Revelation.
