“Jerusalem is our city,” says President Erdogan of Turkey, WorldIsraelNews Islam has a history of militancy dating to Muhammad. A mistaken belief that “God is on our side” dates to the Holy Wars when the papacy initiated the Crusades against Muslims to take Jerusalem from the “Infidels,” after they failed to turn it over to Rome, according to a former Jesuit priest, Alberto Rivera, author of “The Prophet,” explains how young Muhammad got Catholic mentoring, arranged by his wife, Khadija, a former nun.
“The Catholic Crusades against Muslims are over-looked history for why Islam hates Christians–false religion or beliefs are behind most wars,” says Richard Ruhling, author on current events and Bible prophecy.
Ruhling cites “Al-Adha,” a ram sacrifice celebrated by Muslims each year because they believe Ishmael, their ancestor, was spared by the sacrifice of a ram. The Bible says it was Isaac, son of Abraham, who was spared by the sacrifice, Genesis 22:13. Billions of Christians and Muslims think the Bible or Quran is the true holy book. Current events unfolding in the Middle East are proving the Bible is true on five counts, says Ruhling…
#1. When asked about “the end of the world” (Matt 24:3,15), Christ said to read the book of Daniel where the Medes and Persians are represented by a militant ram that gets stomped by a goat flying from the west, Dan 8:4-7,20.
#2. Historians say that vision was fulfilled by Alexander the Great who conquered the Medes and Persians in 331 BC, but Gabriel said, “the vision is at the time of the end,” Dan 8:17. “History repeats.” Iraq is the modern name for the ancient Medes and the vision is half fulfilled with the death of Saddam.
#3. With Erdogan’s claim for Jerusalem, it is not hard to see “the day of the Lord comes” and nations gather against Jerusalem. The houses will be rifled, the women ravished, half the city will go into captivity before the Lord fights for them, Zechariah 14:1-3.
Muslim joy over Jerusalem will be brief. “The Lord will roar from Jerusalem…the earth shall shake.” (Joel 3:16) That earthquake, linked to “the day of the Lord,” will be felt worldwide as God “shakes terribly the earth.” (Isaiah 2:12,21) and Muslims will flee Jerusalem, Zechariah 14:5, says Ruhling.
#4. Leadership of the fighting nations is linked to the horns in Daniel 8:20,21, but horns in Bible times were also used to make trumpets, like a band conductor saying, “Blow your horn!” The great horn on the goat is likely to be the great Trump that makes the goat great in Dan 8:8.
#5. Equally amazing is the first ram incident in Abraham’s time. The ram was caught in a bush, Gen 22:13. George Bush caught the horn of Iraq—the Medes in Dan 8:20.
Based on the previous points, Ruhling believes the Bible is the true holy book and it also supports the papacy as behind the strategy to solve the Middle East problem. The Pentagon’s war machine with CIA (also called Catholic Intelligence Agency) is supporting the pope’s desire to move to Jerusalem and introduce Jesus to the world. But Israel is not eager for that, and Muslims are a problem.
Vatican strategy is to encourage their Brotherhood Muslims to take Jerusalem, knowing that the US with its embassy there, will get the Muslims out, and then the pope would be free to move there as foretold in Dan 11:45–“the king of the north” moves “between the seas in the glorious holy mountain,” Dan 11:45.
The king of the north is the king of Babylon in Ezekiel 26:7, but in Revelation 17, the papacy is Babylon, involved with kings worldwide and sitting on seven hills, Rome. The complexity of the Bible and its track record of accurate prophecy for thousands of years supports it as the true holy book.
