“Millions of people think if they can protest, riot, break a few windows or faces, that the government will change and like a child throwing a fit, some unwise parents will relent and give them what they cry for” says Richard Ruhling, author on current events and Bible prophecy, adding as Lincoln said, “a house divided cannot stand.”
But bad news can be good news if a repeat in history is coming as in Egypt when judgments fell and Israel left to become God’s kingdom when they made a covenant at Sinai, Exodus 19:5,6. And the US is like Egypt more than most people see. Egypt put babies in the river; the US has aborted 60 million. Egypt enslaved Israel, and the US has most people in bondage to alcohol, tobacco, drugs (medical care is bondage) & negative lifestyles.
Christ told His disciples that it wasn’t for them to know the ‘times and seasons’ when the kingdom would come but Paul said we know the ‘times and seasons’ as he linked it to “the day of the Lord” that comes with sudden destruction, “as travail on a woman with child.” 1Thess 5:1-3. Egypt travailed with God’s first-born, Exod 4:22.
That was the biggest event of Old Testament history since the Creation, God’s final act will be bigger, but we need a better understanding of His kingdom. It means dominion of a king by His laws, which are in the Bible, and they might be summarized by the Golden Rule to do unto others as we would want them to do to us.
People who rant, rave and riot are not good candidates for the kingdom. They are more likely to be fighting each other when God makes an end of worldly kingdoms, seen in Daniel 2:35, the book Christ recommended.
The Bible says God won’t do anything without revealing it, Amos 3:7,8, which decodes to an earthquake when the Lord shall roar…the earth shall shake, Joel 3:16. That earthquake initiates the end-time “day of the Lord” and the travail mentioned above. We are only in the early stages.
Since God won’t do it without revealing it, we should study to understand how it is revealed.
